In the role of a Laboratory Technician, you will be working on-site with our Laboratory team in conjunction with our Soil, Environmental and Resource Recovery Scientists. Responsibilities
You will be based at our Laboratory in Thornleigh, Sydney and will be responsible for physical soil characterisation testing such as bulk density, particle size analysis and hydraulic conductivity using specialised equipment.
Key duties include:

Ensure the timely preparation and testing of samples to meet client turnaround times.

Assisting and perform sample preparation tasks with soils, plant tissues, composts, and potting mixes by being involved in the handling, drying, weighing, and grinding processes.

Day-to-day upkeep of physical laboratory testing equipment.

Maintain general laboratory cleanliness.

Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the laboratory management team.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Tertiary qualifications in science or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Prior experience with sample testing or working in a laboratory environment will be highly regarded.

Experience in physical analysis on the soil will be highly regarded.

Experience managing a workload of large sample numbers and multitasking by running numerous tests at different workstations simultaneously.
