BARANGAROO STAGE 1A
SESL Australia provided a number of environmental services for the Stage 1A development at Barangaroo south. The major portion of the contract works included the waste classification assessment of drilling arisings for geotechnical investigations, in-situ and ex-situ soil classifications for piling, perimeter wall, bulk excavation, piling platform construction and harbour heat rejection works.
The project delivery was one of the key advantages throughout the project, with rapid response callout and turnaround of classification reports the day following site inspection, including comprehensive laboratory testing.
Other services provided to Lend Lease throughout the stage 1A development included groundwater assessments, drinking water analysis for potable water sources, bulk excavation sampling and field assessment for acid sulfate soils, validation of imported materials and later trade waste sampling to Sydney Water criteria.
All works were performed with the end goal of meeting the appointed NSW EPA Site Auditors’ requirements, the conditions of the Remedial action Plan (RAP) and in consideration of the Human Health Risk assessment (HHRA).
