SESL Australia Powers Up: Battery Packs Activated and EV Fleet Expanded in 2025

At SESL Australia, sustainability is more than a buzzword, it’s a responsibility. In 2025, we’ve taken another bold step forward with the introduction of a new Battery Pack system and the expansion of our EV Fleet, strengthening our commitment to operating a greener, more energy-efficient scientific laboratory and consultancy.

Solar-Powered Innovation

Our head office roof is equipped with solar panels that harness Australia’s abundant sunshine to keep our operations running cleanly and efficiently. But we haven’t stopped at just generating clean energy during the day, we’ve added battery packs that are now officially switched on!

These batteries store excess solar energy generated throughout the day, allowing us to power the office during peak hours and after the sun goes down. This shift reduces our reliance on the grid, enhances energy resilience, and ensures that even our off-peak operations are supported by renewable energy.

Driving Greener: Expanding Our Electric Fleet

In addition to greening our building, we’re also electrifying our transport. SESL Australia is proud to announce the expansion of our vehicle fleet with new electric cars, including the cutting-edge BYD Shark. 

With more electric vehicles joining our fleet, we’re cutting down on emissions and making sustainable choices part of our daily operations, from sampling to site assessments.
